Amnesty & Failure to Appear


The DeKalb County State Court Traffic Division is offering a citation amnesty program for a limited time. The registration period for this program begins March 11, 2019 and ends on May 17, 2019.

This program is available to any individual with citations issued from January 2010 to December 2018. Court sessions will be held weekdays at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. To sign up, complete the request form and check the box next to Amnesty. Do not select a date of appearance. Dates and times will be assigned for the months of March, April & May. Failure to Appear

If you miss your court date there are many opportunities for you to resolve your case.  You may be able to call in to the court at 404-294-2099 and pay your citation.  You will not be able to pay your ticket online.  Additionally, the Court holds sessions as many as four (4) days per week expressly designed for people who have missed a court date.  To take advantage of this opportunity, Defendants are invited to come to the State Court Clerk’s Office in the Burgess Building at 3630 Camp Circle, Decatur 30032.

To sign up for the calendar you may complete a request form and submit by eMail to, call the court at 404-294-2099, or register in person between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. Requests by email or phone must be completed at least 24 business hours prior to appearance but no more than 5 business days prior. There will be an opportunity to speak to a prosecutor from the Solicitor General’s office prior to appearing before a judge at a hearing at 2:00 pm.  These court sessions are known as the Failure To Appear calendar (FTA).

Defendants who miss their court date and appear to resolve their cases on any date not listed below will be unable to appear before a judge to resolve their traffic citations.
