The World Health Organization, effective May 5, 2023, has declared the worldwide COVID -19 pandemic to have ended, which follows the previous cessation of the Statewide/Judicial Emergency by the State of Georgia. Effective, May 11, the United States Government ended its COVID-19 public health emergency. However, for a limited period, certain precautions will remain in place to protect vulnerable members of the public and court staff, as public health experts predict that ongoing COVID-19 infections will continue, “as a public health threat” for some time, analogous to a “bad flu season”. Please visit our website at www.dekalbstatecourt.net.
The website will be updated weekly to provide guidance on our efforts to fully re-open the courthouse in the future and how the public may access our essential services. If you have recently received a citation from a police officer with a court appearance date, PLEASE CONTACT THE COURT to verify if your appearance is virtual or in person. Or, if you would like to resolve your Traffic case more expeditiously online, please visit: https://cii2.courtinnovations.com/GADCSC/.
