For more information regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19) and court operations, visit the Announcements page.
Although the Statewide/Judicial Emergency has ended, certain precautions remain in place to protect the public and court staff, as the COVID-19 pandemic has not yet been declared to have ended. Therefore, large arraignment proceedings will continue to be conducted on a virtual platform, until further notice. Bench trials and jury trials will be scheduled directly between the court and the parties involved to promote safe interactions within the courthouse. The courthouse at Camp Circle will continue to provide in-person services, as needed, on a scheduled basis. All other functions will remain virtual until further notice. All arraignments and trials, whether virtual or in-person are mandatory and a failure to appear may result in sanctions by the court. Our website at www.dekalbstatecourt.net will be updated weekly to provide guidance on our efforts to fully re-open the courthouse in the future and how the public may access our essential services.
If you have recently received a citation from a police officer with a court appearance date, DO NOT GO TO THE COURTHOUSE, BEFORE CONTACTING THE COURT. All hearings will be scheduled directly by the court. However, you are required to contact the court at: 404-294-2099 to ensure that your case is docketed and scheduled in a timely manner. Or, if you would like to resolve your Traffic case more expeditiously online, please visit: https://cii2.courtinnovations.com/GADCSC/
For your convenience, cashiers are available at the court to accept payments during business hours. Accepted forms of payment are credit/debit card, cashier’s check or money order, and exact change for cash transactions. Split payments are not accepted, and photo ID is required for all credit/debit card transactions. A drop box is also located outside the Camp Circle Court building, to the right of the revolving door and may be accessed at any time. Please do not place cash in the drop box. You may also pay your citation over the phone during business hours by calling 404-294-2099 or anytime online at Pay Here
