DeKalb County Judicial Operations

Although the Statewide/Judicial Emergency has ended, certain precautions remain in place to protect the public and court staff, as the COVID-19 pandemic has not yet been declared to have ended. Therefore, large arraignment proceedings will continue to be conducted on a virtual platform, until further notice.  Bench trials and jury trials will be scheduled directly between the court and the parties involved to promote safe interactions within the courthouse. The courthouse at Camp Circle will continue to provide in-person services, as needed, on a scheduled basis.  All other functions will remain virtual until further notice. All arraignments and trials, whether virtual or in-person are mandatory and a failure to appear may result in sanctions by the court. Our website at www.dekalbstatecourt.net will be updated weekly to provide guidance on our efforts to fully re-open the courthouse in the future and how the public may access our essential services.

If you have recently received a citation from a police officer with a court appearance date, DO NOT GO TO THE COURTHOUSE, BEFORE CONTACTING THE COURT.  All hearings will be scheduled directly by the court. However you are required to contact the court at: 404-294-2099 to ensure that your case is docketed and scheduled in a timely manner.  Or, if you would like to resolve your Traffic case more expeditiously online, please visit:  https://cii2.courtinnovations.com/GADCSC/
